Types of Transactions:

1. Customer to Business (C2B): as the name states, this will allow customers to make purchases or pay for services online through businesses, retailers that have integrated the solution as a payment channel.
2. Business to Business (B2B): For the transfer of funds from one company to the next, provided both have integrated the solution (e.g. a Coffee Store paying their Water Bill to WASCO through M-Pesa.)
3. Business to Customer (B2C): Commonly known as a ‘Bulk Payment’ system, allowing a company to make a one transfer to several individuals at the same time; such as an employer making payments to employees or a marketing agency paying event promoters for a campaign.
4. Direct Debit (DD): A scheduled payment from an individual’s M-Pesa account to a company (e.g. You’ve purchased furniture on hire purchase for a 24 to 36-month contract, through direct debit, the furniture store will debit the customer’s M-Pesa account on a monthly basis per the agreed payment plan/schedule)
