Vodacom Money Showers Campaign (hereinafter referred to as the “Campaign”) is a Vodacom Lesotho marketing Campaign which shall apply the Terms and Conditions outlined hereunder.
1.1 VODACOM LESOTHO (Pty) Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “VODACOM”)

2.1 “Money Showers”
4.1 The Campaign will run from the 04th May 2020 (being the first day) to the 13th of July 2020 (last day inclusive).
5.1 By participating in this Campaign, all entrants warrant that they have read and understood these Terms and Conditions which are available on the VODACOM website at www.vodacom.co.ls and VODACOM retail shops.
5.2 By subscribing to the Campaign, entrants confirm their acceptance and full understanding of the current Terms and Conditions and agree:
5.2.1 to receive SMS communication from VODACOM on their mobile phones relating to the Campaign
5.2.2 to receive SMS communication/advertising offers from VODACOM relating to the Campaign
5.3 VODACOM reserves the right to cancel or amend the Campaign and these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be made available on the VODACOM website, www.vodacom.co.ls
5.4 In the event of a dispute regarding the Terms and Conditions, VODACOM reserves the right to pronounce a decision that shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into unless otherwise deemed necessary by VODACOM.
5.5 These Terms and Conditions shall remain in full force and effect for the duration of the Campaign (not taking into account temporary suspensions of the offer for operational reasons, e.g. for repairs, planned maintenance or upgrades).
6.1 The following persons are eligible to participate in the Campaign:
6.1.1 Natural persons who are VODACOM customers during the Campaign, except those specifically excluded under article 6.2 below.
6.1.2 If a winner is under 18, upon delivery of the prize, the winner’s guardian must be present to collect it on the minor’s behalf and he /she must produce his/her ID together with an authorized document (this may include chief's letter, affidavit etc.) appointing them to prove that he/she is the legal guardian of the minor.
The following persons are excluded from participating in the Campaign:
§ Employees of VODACOM.
§ Immediate family members of the above, being parents, spouses, siblings, and children.
§ Employees of Campaign suppliers and judges
§ Non-citizens of the Kingdom of Lesotho who are not legitimately in the country or may fail to provide any documents as may be requested by Vodacom.
§ Employees of any company directly collaborating with VODACOM for the purpose of executing this Campaign
6.3 VODACOM reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any provision of the Terms and Conditions.
6.4 By participating in the Campaign, entrants hereby warrant that all information submitted is true, current and complete.
7.1 All information pertaining to the Campaign shall be published on the VODACOM website at www.vodacom.co.ls and any queries relating thereto shall be submitted to the call center at 114.
7.2 VODACOM shall not release personal information about participants of the Campaign to third parties unless required to do so in compliance with the governing law.
8.1 The Campaign is open to Prepaid and Top-Up customers who are not excluded by the aforementioned eligibility terms in clause 6.
8.2 To participate in the Campaign, Prepaid and Top- Up customers shall subscribe through dialing *777# then selecting Opt-In on the menu.
8.3 Customers who have opted into the Campaign shall a stand to win prizes under daily and weekly draws when they recharge their accounts.
8.4 To become eligible in the daily draws, a subscriber will have to recharge for a minimum of M5.00 in any given day and daily draws shall be on the day following the day of recharge. Qualifying days shall start on Monday 4th May 2020, at 00:00:01 Hours and end at 23:59:59 Hours on Monday 13th July 2020
8.5 Weekly draws shall be on Mondays and shall be for all recharges made during the previous week. Hence, a subscriber who has opted-in to the Campaign will only become eligible for the random weekly selection in the week following that which they opted in the draw and recharged their account
8.6 Participants shall only win one daily prize per qualifying week and one weekly prize for the duration of the Campaign
8.7 Customers shall win cash prizes under the daily draws and vouchers at Vodacom’s discretion under the weekly draws
8.8 Cash Prizes shall be delivered through M-Pesa and entrants retain the responsibility to have active M-Pesa accounts for purposes of facilitating the delivery of their prizes
8.9 The opt-in shall be free of charge.
8.10 A participant can opt-out of the Campaign at any time by dialling *777# and selecting Opt-Out.
8.11 Prepaid and Top up Customers shall be allowed to participate again even if they opted out by using the mechanisms provided for under clause 8.8 and they will start receiving related messages again.
8.12 Different M-Pesa prizes, at Vodacom’s discretion, shall be awarded to customers on a daily basis, which sum up to the tune of M70, 000.00 in a week.
8.13 Grocery shopping vouchers valued at M2, 500.00 will be awarded to each of twelve (12) lucky winners in a Weekly draw, and these will sum up to M30, 000.00 in value per week.
8.14 The applicable recharge mechanisms shall be: Mocha-o-Chele/ Airtime Voucher, M-Pesa, and Electronic Recharges, including Mobile Banking. Airtime Advance and Airtime Transfer shall be excluded.
9.1 All winners may be contacted by VODACOM via SMS and/or a phone call to their MSISDN number used to participate in the Campaign.
9.2 All winners will receive notices within three (3) calendar days from the date of the draw via SMS.
9.3 All prizes will be delivered within thirty (30) working days from the day that the winner is contacted.
9.4 Winners shall be liable for payment of due taxes and collections of the prize under any applicable legislation including any costs associated with the collection or redemption of the prize.
9.5 Winners of Daily Draw prizes will receive their Cash Prizes remotely through delivery into their active M-Pesa accounts. Weekly prizes shall be delivered directly to Winners or they may be required to collect their prizes at the nearest Vodacom store.
9.6 Winners of Weekly Draw prizes shall sign an undertaking confirming that they are the legal holders of their VODACOM mobile and that they are entitled to the prize. All winners must provide identification documents in order to receive the prize. Prizes may be received by a representative of the winner by proxy upon written confirmation from the winner. The following documents shall be accepted for identification: ID card, Driver’s License or Passport.
9.7 By participating in the Campaign, winners agree that their data, including names, surnames, initials, photos and video images, can be used by VODACOM for advertising purposes with no prior consent and free of charge.
9.8 If a winner cannot be contacted within thirty (30) calendar days from the draw date, or a notified winner refuses the prize or fails to appear to collect it within thirty (30) calendar days of notification, then VODACOM will contact the runner-up winner (s) who will be awarded the prize(s). If none of the winners or runner-up winners accept the prize or do not show up within thirty (30) calendar days of notification, then the prize will remain the property of VODACOM.
9.9 Decisions made by VODACOM will be final and no correspondence will be entered into unless otherwise deemed necessary by VODACOM.
9.10 Prizes shall not be transferable.
10.1 VODACOM accepts no responsibility whatsoever including without limitation, any error, omission, interruption, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure when it is not under its direct control and execution.
11.1 Participants understand and agree that they participate in this Campaign at their own risk and willingness and have not been coerced in any manner to enter.
11.2 VODACOM makes no warranty, implied or express, that any part of the Campaign will be uninterrupted and error-free.
11.3 Neither VODACOM nor any of its directors, employees, agents or suppliers shall accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant participating in the Campaign or as a result of accepting the prize.
11.4 VODACOM is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software failure of any email or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, telephone lines or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer or mobile telephone related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials associated with the Campaign .
11.5 By entering the Campaign, entrants agree that no claim relating to such losses or injuries (including special, indirect and consequential losses) shall be asserted against VODACOM, its parent companies, affiliates, directors, officers, employees or agents from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind resulting from acceptance or user of any prize, including without limitation, personal injuries, death and property damage.
12.1 Personal data related to voice, image, names or address and any other relevant information obtained in connection with the Campaign will be used in a confidential manner and in line with the Vodacom Privacy Management Policy.
13.1 VODACOM reserves the right, whenever deemed necessary, to temporarily suspend the Campaign for operational reasons (e.g. for repairs, planned maintenance or upgrades) and undertakes to restore same as soon as possible after any temporary suspension period.
13.2 Interruption or early termination of the Campaign shall not release VODACOM from its obligation to give out already awarded prizes and execute all other actions required to give effect to such except for the cases when termination or interruption of the Campaign resulted from actions or events which are not under VODACOM’s control.
14.1 In any case of disagreement or disputes arising in connection with this Campaign, participants can present their complaint to VODACOM for amicable resolution and if a dispute is not resolved within fourteen (14) days of an attempt to resolve such, the aggrieved party shall lodge a complaint with the LCA and shall further be at liberty to exercise any other rights or remedies in law.
