Vodacom Lesotho Bursary Programme:Applications Now Open:

The Vodacom Lesotho Bursary Programme is an academic merit-based scheme intended to support full-time first year undergraduate students with preference given to female applicants and persons with disabilities from underprivileged backgrounds, who aspire to study in Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) fields but lack the necessary financial resources.


What the bursary covers:

  • • Full registration and tuition fees
  • • Full on-campus university accommodation costs
  • • A capped allowance for off-campus accommodation
  • • An allocation for textbooks
  • • A meal allowance

Eligibility Criteria:

  • • Applicants must be citizens of Lesotho by birth.
  • • Open to first year students to be enrolled in undergraduate studies at an accredited tertiary institution in Lesotho or South Africa.
  • • Must have achieved a minimum average of 70% in their LGCSE/high school examinations or A-Levels.
  • • Exclusively for students pursuing STEM subjects
  • • Applicants must be able to demonstrate genuine financial need. Preference will be given to orphans and students from low-income households.
  • • Applicants holding an existing bursary or scholarship are ineligible.
  • • Priority will be accorded to female applicants and those with disabilities.
  • • Please note that only online applications will be considered.

Application Process:

  • • Before commencing your application, please carefully review and ensure you meet all the eligibility criteria outlined above.
  • • Complete the application form thoroughly, providing all requested details and submit it along with all necessary supporting documents to the email address provided.
  • • Upon successful submission, you will receive an email confirmation of receipt. Our selection panel will then meticulously assess your application and keep you informed of your progress at each stage.
  • • Means test will be conducted for the applicants.

Applications open on 8th September 2025 and close at 17:00 (CAT) on 8th October 2025.
