VCL FS Winter Campaignss


The Chill & Thrill Winter Campaign (hereinafter referred to as the "Campaign") is a VCL FS marketing Campaign which shall apply the Terms and Conditions outlined hereunder.

  4. Duration of the Campaign
    1. The Campaign shall run from the 20th June 2025 (being the first day) to the 30th August 2025 (last day inclusive).

  5. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
    1. By participating in this Campaign, all entrants warrant that they have read and understood these Terms and Conditions which are available on the Vodacom website at www.vodacom.co.ls and Vodacom retail shops.
    2. By subscribing to the Campaign, entrants confirm their voluntary participation and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and agree:
      1. to receive SMS communication from VCL FS on their mobile phones relating to the Campaign
      2. to receive SMS communication/advertising offers from VCL FS relating to the Campaign
    3. By participating in the Campaign, winners agree that their data, including names, surnames, initials, photos and video images, can be used by VCL FS for advertising purposes.
    4. These Terms and Conditions shall remain in full force and effect for the duration of the Campaign (not considering temporary suspensions of the offer for operational reasons, e.g. for repairs, planned maintenance or upgrades).

  6. Eligibility to Participate in the Campaign
    1. The following persons are eligible to participate in the Campaign:
      1. Natural persons who are VCL FS customers during the Campaign, except those specifically excluded under clause 6.2 below.
      2. If a winner is under 18, upon delivery of the prize, the winner’s guardian must collect it on the minor’s behalf and he /she must produce his/her ID together with a legal document (this may include chief's letter, affidavit etc.) confirming that he/she is the legal guardian of the minor.

    2. Excluded persons
      The following persons are excluded from participating in the Campaign:
      1. Employees of Vodacom and VCL FS.
      2. Immediate family members of the above, being parents, spouses, siblings, and children. Immediate family does NOT include in-laws, close relatives such as cousins, uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces, grandparents, and other extended family members.
      3. Employees of Campaign suppliers and judges
      4. Non-citizens of the Kingdom of Lesotho who are not legitimately in the country or may fail to provide any documents as may be requested by Vodacom.
      5. Employees of any company directly collaborating with Vodacom for the purpose of executing this Campaign
    3. VCL FS reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any provision of the Terms and Conditions.
    4. By participating in the Campaign, entrants hereby warrant that all information submitted is true, current and complete.

  7. Availability and accessibility of information
    1. All information pertaining to the Campaign shall be published on the Vodacom website at www.vodacom.co.ls and Vodacom social media platforms and any queries relating thereto shall be submitted to the call center at 114.
    2. VCL FS reserves the right to cancel or amend the Campaign and these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be made available on the Vodacom website.

  8. Campaign Mechanics
    1. The Campaign is open to All M-Pesa Customers who are not excluded by the aforementioned eligibility terms in clause 6.2
    2. Entry is automatic for all customers who make transactions of M500 and above either on USSD or M-Pesa app that meet the below qualifying criteria.
    3. To become eligible in the weekly draw, a customer shall pay their bills, load their account via card to wallet or cash deposit at an agent, pay merchant, send money or buy airtime or data bundles through M-Pesa’s *200# USSD channel or the M-Pesa Lesotho App. Bills included are (all bills currently active on M-Pesa Lesotho Platforms) each defined week as outlined under 8.5. The services are available on USSD through *200#, option 1 (M-Pesa Services). Alternatively, via the M-Pesa Lesotho app which may be found in the Google Play store by searching for “My M-Pesa App Lesotho”. Pay merchant transactions are those carried out at all active merchants. Weekly promotions at selected merchants will be carried out, in which the scope of transactions will be placed into a draw for winners to receive branded promotional items or airtime or a Sechocha ultra smartphone. Paraffin promotions are for customers that purchase paraffin to the value of M50 or more at selected merchants and will subsequently be entered into a weekly draw to win M400 cash back.
    4. Customers may enter multiple times. Each time a customer executes a transaction within criteria outlined in clause 8.2 and 8.3 they receive one entry into the competition.
    5. Qualifying days shall start on Friday 20th June 2025, at 00:00:01 Hours and end at 23:59:59 Hours on Saturday 30th August 2025.
    6. Weekly draws shall be on Thursday’s and shall be for all eligible spend made during the previous week;
    7. Participants shall only win one prize per qualifying week and limited to one prize per month for the duration of the Campaign.

  9. Prizes
    1. Customers shall stand a chance to win cash and non-cash prizes such as bill payment vouchers (extra electricity units), and cash deposits into M-Pesa accounts
      1. Vouchers shall be at VCL FS’s discretion. Cash Prizes shall be delivered through M-Pesa and entrants retain the responsibility to have active M-Pesa accounts for purposes of facilitating the delivery of their prizes

  10. Notices and Redemption of Prizes
    1. All winners shall be contacted by VCL FS via SMS and/or a phone call to their MSISDN number used to participate in the Campaign.
    2. All winners will receive notices within seven (7) calendar days from the date of the draw.
    3. All prizes will be delivered within thirty (30) working days from the day that the winner is contacted.
    4. Winners of cash prizes will receive their Cash Prizes into their active M-Pesa accounts.
    5. Winners of non-cash prizes shall sign an undertaking confirming that they are the legal holders of their VCL FS M-Pesa Accounts and that they are entitled to the prize. Such winners shall be required to provide their identification documents in order to receive the prize.
    6. Non-cash Prizes may be received by a representative of the winner by proxy upon written confirmation from the winner and certified copy of winner’s identification. The following documents shall be accepted for confirmation of identification: VALID National ID or Passport.
    7. If a winner cannot be contacted within thirty (30) calendar days from the draw date, or a notified winner refuses the prize or fails to appear to collect it within thirty (30) calendar days of notification, then VCL FS shall contact the runner-up winner (s) who will be awarded the prize(s). If none of the winners or runner-up winners accept the prize or do not show up within thirty (30) calendar days of notification, then the prize will remain the property of VCL FS.
    8. Prizes shall not be transferable.
    9. Whilst prize winners may be asked to take part in publicity for the competition including the use of their images, prize winners have the right to refuse to do so.

  11. Limitation of liability
    1. VCL FS accepts no responsibility whatsoever including without limitation, any error, omission, interruption, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure when it is not under its direct control and execution.

  12. Disclaimer of warranties
      1. Participants understand and agree that they participate in this Campaign at their own risk and willingness and have not been coerced in any manner to enter.
      2. VCL FS makes no warranty, implied or express, that any part of the Campaign will be uninterrupted and error-free.
      3. Neither VCL FS nor any of its directors, employees, agents or suppliers shall accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant participating in the Campaign or as a result of accepting the prize.
      4. VCL FS is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software failure of any email or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, telephone lines or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer or mobile telephone related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials associated with the Campaign .
      5. By entering the Campaign, entrants agree that no claim relating to such losses or injuries (including special, indirect and consequential losses) shall be asserted against VCL FS, its parent companies, affiliates, directors, officers, employees or agents from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind resulting from acceptance or user of any prize, including without limitation, personal injuries, death and property damage.

  13. Data Protection and Publicity
    1. Personal data related to voice, image, names or address and any other relevant information obtained in connection with the Campaign will be used in a confidential manner and in line with the Vodacom (VCL FS) Privacy Management Policy.
    2. VCL FS shall not release personal information about participants of the Campaign to third parties unless required to do so in compliance with the governing law.

  14. Suspension and termination of the Campaign
    1. VCL FS reserves the right, whenever deemed necessary, to temporarily suspend the Campaign for operational reasons (e.g. for repairs, planned maintenance or upgrades) and undertakes to restore same as soon as possible after any temporary suspension period.
    2. Interruption or early termination of the Campaign shall not release VCL FS from its obligation to give out already awarded prizes and execute all other actions required to give effect to such except for the cases when termination or interruption of the Campaign resulted from actions or events which are not under VCL FS’s control.
    3. VCL FS shall notify subscribers of any termination or suspension of the Campaign.

  15. Dispute Resolution
    VCL FS’s decision regarding the Campaign and /or Terms and Conditions shall be final.
    1. In any case of disagreement or disputes relating to Vodacom’s decision, participants shall lodge their complaints with VCL FS for amicable resolution of the same which shall be settled through private good faith negotiations.
    2. If the dispute is not resolved within fourteen (14) working days of an attempt to resolve such or the aggrieved party is not happy with the outcome, then he/she shall lodge a complaint with the Vodacom Lesotho senior Management, failing which, then the Central Bank of Lesotho and shall further be at liberty to exercise any other rights or remedies in law.
